Drive contains the documents and files in your workspace: docs, spreadsheets, canvases, PDFs, images, videos, code files, and uploads.
To go to Drive use shortcut g + f.
Attachments shared in channels are imported to Drive. Email attachments are extracted to Drive. Everything in Drive is searchable from unified search.

Folders

To create a folder use shortcut c + f. To move a selected item to a folder, press m.
The Drive sidebar shows the folder tree. Click a folder to open it. Click the arrow next to a folder to expand it. The folder creation dialog accepts a name, tags, and files or folders to upload.

Creating and uploading

Click New in the Drive sidebar to create a document, spreadsheet, canvas, folder, or other file. Inside a folder, the menu reads Create in followed by the folder name, and new files are created in that folder. Drag files from your computer onto a folder to upload them.

Opening files

Click a file to open it. Press shift+enter to open it in a new split. The file menu has Duplicate, Rename, Move to folder, Download, and Delete.

Sharing

Folders have owner, editor, commenter, and viewer access. On a team, the Share dialog includes Team access, which sets view, comment, or edit access for the whole team. Folders with open notifications appear on Home.
